Join us for an exclusive morning with NCAA Head Men’s Basketball Coaches Chris Crutchfield, Alan Huss, and Fred Hoiberg. Enjoy breakfast, connect with fellow supporters, and gain an insider’s perspective on the winning mindsets these coaches are bringing into the new season.

We invite you to stand with the Coaches and the American Cancer Society by supporting this special event, featuring a Q&A panel with the coaches and an opportunity to contribute to the American Cancer Society’s mission. All proceeds will directly benefit Hope Lodge Nebraska, providing critical support for patients and their families.

Coach Chris Crutchfield’s involvement with Coaches vs Cancer spans leadership at the national level, community engagement, and personal advocacy. Through council membership and local events, he uses his platform as a college coach to raise funds, increase visibility, and support cancer patients and families—particularly in Nebraska and his own community.

Alan Huss, head men’s basketball coach, is a committed supporter of the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative and the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it. Through his involvement in cancer awareness efforts and support of Pink Out and Coaches vs. Cancer initiatives, Coach Huss has helped elevate the importance of research, advocacy, and patient support within the basketball community. His leadership and passion for making a difference continue to inspire fans, student‑athletes, and colleagues to stand together in the fight against cancer.

Fred Hoiberg actively supports Coaches vs. Cancer—both through high-impact fundraising events with fellow Big Ten coaches and locally in Nebraska via community-focused events. While his participation is more event-based than council-led, his consistent public advocacy and willingness to appear in-person make him a valued supporter of the American Cancer Society’s mission.

Mission Funding: Hope Lodge

Our 30+ Hope Lodge communities across the country provide a free place to stay during treatment so people with cancer can focus on getting better. These communities provide comfortable guest suites with private baths, as well as inviting spaces with all the comforts of home, including a communal kitchen, dining area, laundry rooms, and places to gather or find a quiet respite – all at no cost to guests.

Hope Lodge guests don’t just find a place to stay – they find a community of support and an emotional connection with others facing the same journey.
